Reintroduction Muflons on Fruška Gora

Fruska Gora got a new Muflon wild game population.

Public enterprise "Fruska Gora National Park", with the support of the Forest Administration of the Republic of Serbia, imported 30 muflon game animals from the Republic of Slovakia.

With the aim of improving the genetic potential of this species, and by reaching the minimum number of individuals in the area of ​​the Fruska Gora National Park, 25 females and 5 males were introducred. The current Muflon population counts 70 individuals.
The transport of game was in the best order as well as discharge into the fenced part of the Vorovo hunting ground. The period of adaptation of new ones to quarantine is followed, after which our new residents will have the opportunity to explore and enjoy their new home, secured and enclosed part of the oldest National Park in Serbia and the only National Park in Vojvodina.
